Folkuniversitetet in Varberg offers education in Swedish for immigrants (SFI), adult education, and adapted adult education on behalf of Varberg municipality. We are now looking for a knowledgeable administrator for our school in Varberg.

About the position
As an educational administrator within SFI and Adult Education, you will have a central and coordinating role. You will be responsible for administrative processes related to participants, studies, and reporting, as well as providing support to educational leaders and educators. The work requires good structure, a sense of service, and an understanding of regulations within adult education.

Responsibilities
Your role will include, among other things:

• Administering admissions, registrations, and enrollment of participants within SFI and Adult Education
• Managing attendance, study plans, grades, and course completions
• Working in administrative systems and databases (e.g., student registers, learning platforms, and municipal systems)
• Contacting participants, teachers, educational leaders, and municipal officials
• Ensuring accurate reporting to the municipality and other clients
• Providing practical and administrative support during course starts, level changes, and completions
• Contributing to follow-up, quality assurance, and development of administrative routines
• Providing service and information to participants, often with different linguistic and cultural backgrounds
  

Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:

• Post-secondary education in administration, education, or another relevant field, or equivalent work experience
• Experience in administrative work, preferably within SFI, Adult Education, or other adult education settings
• Good knowledge of or interest in regulations within adult education
• Very good Swedish in both spoken and written form
• Good digital competence and experience working in multiple IT systems simultaneously (Ms Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint) and in Edlevo (meriting)
• Knowledge of English; other languages are an advantage
